The vests are designed to extend up to 3/4 of the dog's back. and will not restrict your dogs movements. Measuring Your Dog For Safe-T Dog VestMeasure the circumference of your dog's neck where his/her collar sits and girth measurement (the girth is the widest part of the rib cage) and compare to the chart below. The back length is the length of the back of the vest; the vest should end at one-half to three-quarters of the back length. The list of breeds is a general guideline as there are many deviations from the norm in size, shape and weight even among specific breeds.
